I wonder if I could take my gold coins and stick them in an IRA vault.. But if I did sell them (it will be the last thing I ever do, most likely they will be passed down), I doubt anyone will ever know.
Holding gold in an IRA would be awesome. I too am unsure if that's possible or not.
Your reply about nobody every knowing if you sold your coins is a standard reply. However, that sale might be more difficult if the laws become more stringent and/or our glorious leaders implement a CBDC with total tracking capabilities. Why, dear citizen, why hast though received $50,000 from this random person?
These are concerns that I think about. I still like physical gold, but I don't think it's a perfect solution either.
